Is your child bothered by Learning Difficulties?

The above statements are not meant for diagnostic purpose. If your child has met 3 or above characteristics, or your child’s functioning is significantly affected by those characteristics, further consultation or assessment is strongly recommended.

1. Your child is as smart as other children but he/she still couldn’t keep up schoolwork.
2. Your child appears clumsy and get fall down at times.
3. Your child learns better by demonstration but has difficulty learn through written instructions.
4. Your child cannot spell even with repeated practice.
5. Your child has difficulty to copy words (i.e. omit words, poor hand-writing, etc.) from whiteboard or from book.
6. Your child is expressive enough to talk out in almost any topic but he/she cannot express ideas on paper.
7. Your child encounters with word finding difficulty in which he/she cannot get the words out when talking.
8. Your child has poor memory and tends to be forgetful.
9. Your child tends to read story based on his/her memory but when you point to specific word in the story, he/she cannot read it.
10. Your child has difficulty to perform on math tasks.
