On the 23rd of October 2022 (Sunday) Life Educare Foundation and Rumah Victory held a charity event for Expansion of the Elderly Home in SJK (C) Shin Cheng (Harcroft) from 7:30 am – 3:00 pm. We have gathered many donors, vendors and volunteers to make this event happen and together we have raised over RM 800, 000 to purchase a new house for the expansion of the elderly home.
The team of Life Educare Foundation is very grateful to be able to bring in 50 vendors for the event with various booth ranging from food and drinks to home living items, pre-loved items, plants and many more. We were also thankful for our volunteers who worked hard to promote to sell their items from the booths.
The Life Educare Foundation team prepared a game booths for children. The game booths has brought many smiles to our children and parents while playing the games and many children won prizes from our prize redemption counters. We hope that through the younger generation learned how to overcome difficult challenges and planning to reach their goals in redeeming the prizes that they want.
Our consulting psychologist Ms Lee Li Li shared a small talk on educating the public on elderly mental health such as dementia and depression. The talk was about where and how these elderly group can find professions to receive proper help. Ms Lee Li Li also shared how elderly can further improve their mental health through through physical exercising and having more social interactions by joining social clubs as mental and physical exercise to keep the body and mind young.
We are earnestly grateful for each and every donors, vendors, volunteers, and those who came to support our event. We hope that through this event we have reached out many people in educating them about the importance in caring for elderly and the luxury of giving.
