Activity Introduction:
a Life Enrichment Camp was held at Darul Ta’lim Homestay Hulu Langat on the 26th to 28th May 2019.
Respect and Appreciation:
Children experienced a short getaway from the bustling city. The days were simple but yet challenging. Children learned various self-care trainings, first-aid knowledge and emergency responses. Children learned their respect and appreciation towards lives through the art of making their own bed or pack and change their clothing. Through real emergency simulations, children are more alert towards sudden unexpected events. They learned to appreciate their resourceful lives.
Responsibilities and Patience:
Along the camp, children had to complete various tasks with responsibilities. At the same time, creating a strong bonding among group mates with good patience. For instance, campers have to be alert on practising respects and cooperative values among their groups for a smooth planning and coordinating some trivial self-care chores.
Conclusion:
Children experienced three days with challenges, self-transcendence and vitality. The joys and sorrows of life are plentiful in the future. We hope that the children will apply the values and lessons of survival learned into their daily livings.
