Chyi Ling's Mum Sharing
I came to know about A Zon Educare Advisory 4 years ago. My daughter, Chyi Ling, was in Standard 1 then. I received A Zon’s flyer near her school. I found the courses provided by A Zon were very different from others when I was reading through their flyer one day. After making a call to enquire, I decided to visit A Zon and know more about their Life Education courses. At that time, Chyi Ling’s school teacher told me that she couldn’t pay attention in class as her mind tended to wander. I also found that she couldn’t mix well and had only handful of friends. I expressed my concerns to A Zon’s psychologist, Teacher Lee. She recommended Chyi Ling to be enrolled in the Life Education program to enhance her value learning through group activity and the Child Intervention program to improve her attention. I respected her recommendation and enrolled Chyi Ling in both programs. After attending a few months of the intervention program, I found that Chyi Ling’s attention had improved and I have not receive any school teacher’s comment of Chyi Ling being inattentive again.
In terms of the Life Education program, I found that the courses provided by A Zon were totally different. They teach children using a variety of activities so that they not only “learn” moral and life values but also to “practice” those values learned. I am touched by my child’s affection after joining the program. She is much more loving and able to show her care towards us.
In fact, we found that she is more loving and patient towards younger children and animals. Although she is the only child in the family, she learns to take care of children who are younger than her and I’m happy that she is not dependent on our maid. To my surprise, Chyi Ling has also learned more Chinese vocabularies throughout the course and through interaction with friends at A Zon. As she is studying in an international school, she hardly gets the chance to learn Chinese. We are really happy for such improvement.
Throughout her learning in A Zon for the past few years, we noticed Chyi Ling’s growth and development; and we get to know more about Life Education as well. We will continue her Life Education courses and other activities in A Zon in order to enable her to develop positive characteristics and values.
Words for other parents…
I believe that not many parents know about “Life Education”. In fact, children’s attitude is very important other than their academic performance. Life Education courses provided by A Zon is different in the sense that they emphasize very much on “learning by doing” which enable the child to learn moral and life values through activities. In addition, they encourage children to apply such values learned in their daily life. I’m glad that my child would greet her teachers and friend under all circumstances. I would like to share that “teaching by example” is very important for children. Thus, parents have to set a good example for children. If parents could cooperate with A Zon, the children would have more positive development. I hope that more and more parents as well as children get the chance to learn about Life Education which they could hardly learn in school.
