Ashely's Parent Sharing
Ashely is now 10 years old. She’s been joining A Zon since April last year, 2013. We got to know A Zon through a parent in my daughter’s school in Sri Acmar, whose son is also attending courses in A Zon. Before joining the intervention course in A Zon, my daughter had difficulties sitting down quietly to do work. She had a very short attention span of less than 10 minutes. Besides, she had a lot of sensory issue such as firework sounds. Ashely used to run around the house or even throw tantrums whenever she hears unpleasant sounds. Now, she is able to sit down quietly for around 30 minutes. Ashely is now less sensitive to sound or noise places that she was scared of previously. She can now go anywhere with us without causing much problems. Moreover, Ashely’s speech has also improved a lot as she is able to talk and express more in longer sentences now. Words to encourage other parents:
Be patience to your child in any circumstances. If you discover any delay in their learning, please seek for help as soon as possible. Do not wait too long. There will never be miracles if parents do not help them. The only miracle is through parent’s help; to create, to work, and to put effort in as well as time to helping the child.
